On Sunday, April 25th, we celebrated the miraculous work of the Lord at a Baptism Service at Redeemer. These services are a sweet reminder of what the Lord has done in the life of each follower of Jesus. The testimony below is from Violet Taylor.

When I was little, I used to hear people say that I just had to believe in God to be saved. The end. I didn’t really care or think about what that really meant. I just went along, trying to be like everyone else, but not paying attention.

When I was a bit older, around 7 years old, I really started to think more about what it means to actually believe in God. I understood more what God had done for me and how he loved me, and I started to believe in him more truly. I noticed how God started to work in my heart.

I started to open heartedly apologize to others when I had done something hurtful to them. I prayed when I needed help doing what the Lord wanted me to do. I started paying more attention and listening when other people were praying aloud. And I began to understand the goodness of God in my own heart.

Now I want to get baptized because I know that I am a true believer and I have decided to follow God for the rest of my life. Now I have a new heart, that is pure and beautiful, and I am thankful for God’s good grace.
