Our Elders desire to express our solidarity with Cities Church in Saint Paul, MN. Those dear brothers and sisters are part of our denominational family of churches. We were shocked and heart-broken to watch the images of protesters disrupting their worship service last Sunday, January 18, 2026. Churches must be considered a safe place for people to find rest and peace with God. Places of worship are not for unwelcomed protestors to demonstrate disapproval of government actions. We believe what the protesters did last Sunday was wrong, dangerous, and even illegal. Therefore, we ask authorities to hold them accountable. Finally, we are praying for the dear saints of Cities Church. We are also praying for peace during the unrest in Minnesota. Even though Pastor Parnell was treated disrespectfully he still proclaimed that Jesus is the hope of the world. Amen brother. May Jesus bring peace and salvation to Minnesota.
