BAPTISM TESTIMONY | ALLYSON FRENCH

Baptism is a symbol of the new life believers have in Christ. This is Ally French’s public profession of faith in Jesus from his baptism on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

I grew up in a Christian home, singing “Jesus Loves Me” and learning Bible stories like Noah’s Ark. I accepted Christ at the young age of five years old. I vividly remember the moment–my mom telling me the story of the Pentecost, about how the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit and His power. I stared at her in awe and I remember thinking, “Wow, I want what they had.”. My mom prayed with me and I stepped out into my backyard, proudly declaring to the world that I was a Christian.
Sadly, my faith journey took an apathetic turn. I went through the motions, only going to the youth group if my friends would be there. As time went on, I grew anxious, and wondered if I was truly saved. If my young conversion was truly authentic. But by the grace of God, the Lord reminded me that I was His and always would be. In 8th grade, I rededicated my life to Christ. I know now that I can’t lose my salvation. Romans 8:15 says, “For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” I have realized that I need to depend on Jesus daily, and that I wasn’t created to carry everything on my own.
This school year has been very difficult for me. I have felt deeply troubled with stress, anxiety, what people think of me, keeping up with my grades, etc. I feel so burdened by external and internal things, and yet, I feel a unique peace. Even though I face overwhelming trials, I know I am not fighting alone. God has blessed me with wonderful friends and mentors around me, and the best mama in the whole wide world. I love you all to infinity and beyond. But most importantly, I have the Holy Spirit living inside of me.
I wanted to get baptized to show people two things. First, that I am all-in. No more one foot out the door, I am a Bible-believing Christian, fully committed to furthering the Kingdom Of God. Finally, I wanted to show that even if you think your story is small or it feels insignificant, God can use you for His glory. It only takes faith as small as a mustard seed.
