BAPTISM TESTIMONY | MAEBRY FRENCH

Baptism is a symbol of the new life believers have in Christ. This is Maebry French’s public profession of faith in Jesus from her baptism on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

I do not have a memory without church. When my family began going to Redeemer, I was 5 years old. I love the friendships I have made at church and have always enjoyed going and learning the Bible stories. I now know that going to church and knowing these Bible stories doesn’t save you, but putting your trust and faith in Jesus does. Romans 3:23 tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That includes me. I am a sinner. But the Bible also says in Romans 10:9, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” That is exactly what I did at Basketball Crossover camp earlier this month. When my leader, Collin, prayed with our group on the last day, I felt the Lord was calling me to pray too. I realized that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I’m excited to be baptized and live my life with Christ and for Him. My favorite Bible passage comes from Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.”
